Security Officer / SOC: CP Chem Cedar Bayou
Denali Universal Services invites applications for the Security Officer / SOC role at CP Chem Cedar Bayou.
Job SummaryUnder limited supervision, the SOC Security Officer protects work sites, personnel, and assets. Responsibilities include monitoring access control and electronic inventory systems, operating CCTV, coordinating radio and telephone communications, maintaining shift logs and confidential documentation, and answering after‑hours emergency calls. The officer performs all duties in accordance with established safety and operational procedures.
Primary Responsibilities- Monitor access control systems and electronic inventory control equipment.
- Operate CCTV and initiate response to site alarms.
- Coordinate radio, telephone, and dispatch communications.
- Maintain shift logs and confidential documentation.
- Answer after‑hours main number and emergency phone number.
- Perform security, console, and emergency response duties per site procedures.
- Implement monthly fire extinguisher and AED checks.
- Provide customer service and emergency response activities as required.
- Assist management and law enforcement during emergency situations.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of prior military, law enforcement, corrections, or private security experience.
- Previous experience at a Security Operation Center (SOC) or dispatch environment.
- Proficiency in electronic security management applications (Microsoft Office, Video, Access Control, Alarm Management).
- Knowledge of communications and dispatch operations.
- Valid driver’s license.
- State Unarmed Security Officer License or ability to obtain.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and effectively.
- Successful completion of a criminal background investigation, drug screen, and post‑offer physical evaluation.
- Knowledge of communications and dispatch operations and pertinent security regulations.
- Strong analytical and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to remain calm and mitigate high‑stress security situations.
- Ability to understand and operate integrated sensor packages.
