ScaffoldBuilder – Carpenter
This person will construct, assemble, maintain, and dismantle tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures. The role includes the following essential duties and responsibilities. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required in the scaffolding craft. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities- Determines type of scaffold needed.
- Inspects job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
- Effectively communicates safety hazards and mitigates avoidable hazards prior to construction of scaffolding.
- Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold to the dimensions required.
- Hoists scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure.
- Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material.
- Properly secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
- Adheres to all OSHA, site‑specific and Austin Industrial requirements for the erecting and navigation of the scaffolding.
- Performs final inspection of completed scaffolding.
- Dismantles scaffolding when it has been properly communicated to do so.
- Inspects and properly stows scaffolding material after dismantling.
- Works at heights with no fear.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education:
No minimum education requirements.
Experience:
3 years of experience in scaffolding is preferred.
Certification/License: A valid TWIC card and driver’s license are required. NCCER certification is preferred but not required.
