Position: Electrician Level 1 -Austin Industrial - (Pasadena, TX)

Electrician

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools. Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components with test equipment to locate and correct failures. The following are essential duties and responsibilities; other duties may be assigned.

  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components for hazards, defects, and compliance with codes.
  • Advise management on the safety of continued equipment operation.
  • Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Maintain an up‑to‑date electrician’s license or identification card to meet state regulations.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Direct and train workers on installation, maintenance, and repair duties.
  • Use sketches or blueprints to determine wiring and equipment locations and ensure code conformance.
  • Operate a variety of tools and equipment, including power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment such as motors.
  • Perform business management duties, including record keeping, report preparation, and ordering supplies and equipment.
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures with hand and power tools.
  • Work on ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical systems.
  • Place conduit inside walls or partitions and pull insulated wires or cables through conduits.
  • Construct and fabricate parts using hand tools and specifications.
  • Fasten small metal or plastic boxes to walls for electrical switches or outlets.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, such as trenching and lifting heavy objects.
  • Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
  • Assist during emergencies by operating floodlights, generators, placing flares, and operating vehicles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required For This Position

Education: – no minimum education requirements.

Experience: – 4 years of journeyman‑level experience.

Certifications/ Licenses: – TDLR, NCCER, and a valid driver’s license.
