Essential Functions of WorkTo perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Work schedule is Monday–Friday from 1:00–5:30 p.m. during the school year, with occasional evenings or weekends and 8‑hour shifts during the summer months.
- Supervise children 6–12 years of age in a structured environment where homework assistance, active and passive activities are provided.
- Drive a 15‑passenger van to pick up children from school each afternoon.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Program Director.
The absence of specific statements of duties does not exclude those tasks from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment of the position.
Qualification RequirementsThis is a permanent part‑time position.
Education / ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent.
Special QualificationsMust be 18 years of age or older, able to drive a 15‑passenger van, possess or obtain a Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification and pass a background check. A valid MS driver’s license is required.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This employee is required to stand; walk; use arms, hands, and fingers; see, hear, and speak. Requires the ability to lift and carry program supplies and materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
Working EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level of this position is moderate to loud. The majority of work is performed indoors in a well‑lit and adequately ventilated building. Occasionally work is performed outdoors. This position may be required to work weekends and occasional evenings as dictated by planned events and activities.
