Leaders sought. Immediate need for leaders who can drive accountability in a professional, civil environment. Must be able to demonstrate ability to lead with fairness, consistency, respectfulness, and transparency.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, assign, coordinate, and evaluate semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel according to their skill, experience, and job knowledge.
  • Supervise and train employees to improve quality and quantity of work performed.
  • Recommend training to enhance skill and productivity of employees, and assist in development of training procedures.
  • Break broad strategies down to practical action plans and ensure employees are trained to perform these plans.
  • Responsible for compliance with all technical aspects of the job including adherence to all drawings, procedures, etc.
  • Responsible for manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations that have a significant financial impact on the company's performance.
  • Supervise qualified trades staff and monitor job and budget performance for all shifts.
  • Review the Shipbuilding Management Charter 0001 and relevant policies and procedures before applying for the position.
Requirements
  • HS Diploma/GED and 3 years of electrical experience; or Ingalls Apprenticeship applicable to electrical.
  • Must have 1 year active experience as a journeyman at Ingalls, or be a graduate of the electrical apprenticeship program, or have 3+ years of documented journeyman experience in electrical.
  • Superior attendance and disciplinary record.
  • Cannot have more than 3 unexcused absences in the last 180‑day period.
  • Cannot have any safety DANS that result in a disciplinary layoff in the last 180‑day period.
  • Cannot have more than 2 total DANS in the last 180‑day period (excluding lost tool).
  • Must be willing to work any shift.
Nice to Have
