Three 12 hour shifts from 6pm to 6am, rotating holiday coverage
The CT Technologist works under the supervision of the physician, provides radiologic care and services to patients by arranging and operating equipment to produce images of the human body for diagnosis and treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders.
The CT Technologist ensures that the Radiology department meets current accreditation program and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists standards and achieves the Singing River Health System objectives.
Expectation is for all performed duties to be in accordance with Singing River Health System procedures and policies, accreditation organization, and governing guidance and publications for health care employees.
The Float CT Technologist will be required to work at all SRHS facilities.

- Graduate from an accredited, state approved School of Radiologic Technology required.
- Must be currently registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. CT Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists preferred.
- Licensed by the Mississippi State Department of Health required.
- Must complete and maintain current BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer.
- Must have de-escalation training completed by the end of position orientation (90 days); must have appropriate level of de-escalation training.
- A minimum of six (6) months experience in Computerized Tomography Scanning preferred.
- Float CT Tech/Premium Flex CT Tech: A minimum of six (6) months experience in Computerized Tomography Scanning is required.
- Work is moderately active: involves sitting with frequent requirements to move about the office, move about the facility, and to travel to another facility within the SRHS service area.
- Work involves exerting a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Work requires use of repetitive motions; subjects to exposure of body fluids, communicable diseases, CRT equipment, sputum and tissues.
- Must be able to be active for extended periods without experiencing undue fatigue.
- Must demonstrate keen mental faculties/assessment and decision making abilities.
- Superior communication/speaking/enunciation skills to receive and give information in person and by telephone.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Emotional stability conducive to dealing with high stress levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; attention to detail and ability to multi-task in complex situations.
- Superior customer service skills and professional etiquette.
- Proficient knowledge and ability to use a computer (must be keyboard proficient) and other office technology (telephone, fax, etc.), MS Outlook and Word.
- Float CT Technologist required to work at all SRHS facilities.
