Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Intensive Outpatient Program Therapist
Provides a structured 15-week program consisting of group, individual, family therapy and assessments as outlined in DMH standards and 10-week Structured Intervention program in conjunction with the Intensive Outpatient Program.
Coordinates discharge planning and serves as liaison with referring and referral facilities. Obtains appropriate releases for information and provides appropriate follow-up documentation.
Obtains and submits specimens for drug screens according to the agency policy.
Documents appropriate activities in case note format that justify the need for treatment and/or record documentation that is adequate, and appropriate and submits service logs according to agency policy and in a timely fashion.
Responds to clients needs in an appropriate and timely manner.
Demonstrates appropriate interactions with coworkers that promote a pleasant work environment.
Participates in interagency collaboration for the provision of client services when assigned.
Experience & EducationRequired
Master’s degree in behavioral science or related field.
License/certification (i.e., LPC, LMSW/LCSW, or DMH Certification) within 30 days of hire and maintained throughout duration of employment.
Preferred
Current CPR & CPI/MANDT certification.
