Position OverviewThe Panel Care Coordinator functions as an intermediary between the Medical Team and the patient. The role provides first line support to electronic and telephone queries and proactively manages patient care for non-office visits. The Coordinator is the primary conduit for transmission of information between the patient and Medical Staff and uses discretion to convey pertinent information to the Medical Team.
The goal is to gather, assimilate, and convey the correct information to provide a timely treatment plan.

EducationHigh School graduate or equivalent required. Graduation from a Medical Assistant program accredited by ABHES or CAAHEP is preferred.

Certifications- Prefer currently certified/recognized as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from one of the following institutions:
- Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
- American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Medical Career Assessments (MedCA)
- National Health career Association (NHA)
OR must be a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from the American Medical Technologists (AMT). Must maintain certification according to certifying organization’s standards.
ExperienceRequired:
2 years clinical experience as a Medical Assistant (MA).

Physical DemandsWork is moderately active: frequent movement about the office and facility; travel to another SRHS facility may be required. Repetitive motions with wrists/hands when using standard office equipment. Must be able to perceive normal sounds and have close visual acuity for comparing data on screens and printed materials. Must be able to be active for extended periods and accommodate shift variations as needed by the hospital.

Excellent communication and decision-making abilities. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and maintain collaborative working relationships within SRHS and partner organizations.
Special DemandsSuperior customer service skills and professional etiquette. Proficient computer skills (keyboard, MS Outlook, Word) and general office technology (telephone, fax, etc.).
