Environmental Services Aide – Operating Room

Overview

Environmental Services Aide – Operating Room at Singing River Health System. This role is located at Pascagoula Hospital. Full-Time on Swing Shift (4:00pm - 12:30am).

• Maintain environmental and infection control standards within the established policies and procedures of the Health System for the Operating Room and Labor & Delivery.
• Perform a variety of general cleaning and linen tasks within the Operating / Labor & Delivery Room to maintain rooms, offices, hallways and other assigned areas.
• Perform Terminal Cleaning on each operating room when assigned.
• When assigned, perform tasks outside the Operating / Labor & Delivery Room such as patient room cleaning. Restock linen carts and assemble linen packs for Surgical Services and Outpatient Surgery.

• Education:
  
  High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Six (6) months housekeeping experience in a healthcare facility preferred.
• Physical Demands:
  Ability to stand for extended periods; regular lifting up to 25 lbs; ability to perform cleaning tasks and handle materials; may be exposed to cleaning chemicals and waste.
• Mental Demands:
  Ability to communicate effectively, make decisions, and work under pressure; strong attention to detail.
• Special Demands:
  Customer service skills and computer/office technology proficiency (MS Outlook).
