Overview
Behavior Health Services (BHS) Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Full-time position in Behavioral Health Services Clinic, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.
Location:
2809 Denny Avenue, Pascagoula, Mississippi, 39581, United States.
The BHS Social Worker collaborates with physicians and nurse practitioners to deliver mental health care services. They perform psychosocial assessments and individual therapy, and provide direct services to patients and families. The BHS Social Worker delivers mental health therapy services to patients within their scope of certification and education, primarily in the outpatient setting with Singing River Health System. They may work at any SRHS location and perform other duties as assigned within department expectations.
All duties are in accordance with Singing River Health System procedures, policies, accreditation organizations, and governing guidance for health care employees.

Education- Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited school required.
- Must be currently licensed to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Mississippi.
- Must be currently certified in the State of Mississippi as a Social Worker.
- Must have de-escalation training completed by the end of position orientation (90 days) and maintain appropriate level of de-escalation training.
- Two (2) years’ experience working with mental health and substance abuse patients in a psychiatric setting preferred.

- Work is moderately active: sitting with frequent movement, travel to another SRHS facility, and light lifting or moving of objects.
- Exposure to body fluids, sputum, and tissues; potential infectious disease risks.
- Repetitive motions of wrists/hands; use of standard office equipment.
- Visual and auditory demands; ability to focus on computer monitor and printed materials; shift between tasks as needed.
- Strong assessment, decision-making, and communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain collaborative relationships.
- Emotional stability to manage high-stress patient care and fast-paced environments.
- Superior customer service skills and professional etiquette.
- Proficient computer skills, MS Outlook and Word, and general office technology.
- Ability to exercise appropriate clinical judgment for patients of all ages.
