. This full‑time role is based in Pascagoula, MS (2809 Denny Ave). Working hours are Monday–Friday 8:00–16:30, with weekend/holiday on‑call as needed.
The Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) installs, administers, and maintains the operational database (ODB) environment. Responsibilities include environment setup, configuration, proactive monitoring, maintenance, SFTP configuration, and documentation.
Responsibilities- Install, configure, and maintain ODB environments.
- Set up and maintain SFTP services.
- Perform proactive monitoring and routine maintenance.
- Document system configurations and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Director of Applications and Reporting to resolve issues.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, or related field preferred; work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Full Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) (Epic/EMR) certification required within 6 months of hire; ongoing certification maintenance required.
- Red Hat Linux certification preferred; additional certifications may be requested.
- Strong Linux command‑line skills and familiarity with file system concepts.
- Knowledge of Korn, POSIX, Bourne shells and utilities such as awk, sed, and Perl recommended.
Director of Applications and Reporting
Physical DemandsModerately active office work, frequent movement, occasional travel within the SRHS service area. Requires ability to lift, carry, or push objects, use repetitive motions, and maintain visual acuity for computer and printed materials.
Mental DemandsStrong analytical, decision‑making, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain collaborative relationships across SRHS and partner organizations.
Special DemandsSuperior customer service, proficiency with office technology (MS Office, Outlook), and professional etiquette. Ability to exercise appropriate clinical judgment with patient‑who‑is‑all‑ages population.
