IT Project Manager
Chipton-Ross is seeking an Information Technology Project Manager 4 for a contract opportunity in Pascagoula, MS.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):- High School diploma and 13 years of experience, Associates degree and 11 years of experience, Bachelor's degree and 9 years of experience, Master's degree or above and 7 years of experience or a PHD and 5 years of experience.
- PMP
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects within complex organizational structures involving outsourced partners and managed service providers.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical background
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical and executive audiences.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with complex budget management.
- Experience in shipbuilding or other manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity with ease while introducing the right level of structure
- Experience with Microsoft Planner Premium
- AI Literacy:
- Demonstrable experience with AI-powered project management tools for predictive scheduling, resource optimization, or advanced risk analysis.
- Strong understanding of AI concepts as they apply to the project management domain and IT operations.
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Level 4 IT Project Manager to lead our most complex, high-impact, and large-scale technology initiatives. As a Project Manager at HII, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish - working with cross-functional partners across the company, business stakeholders, IT Management, enterprise resources, managed service providers, and vendors. You will act as a strategic orchestrator to deliver measurable business value.
You will be responsible for defining project scope, developing detailed plans, managing cross-functional teams, mitigating risks, and communicating progress to all stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, and the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams. This role bridges the gap between technical implementation and business impact-ensuring projects are aligned with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities include:

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
School must be accredited.
