Our Pipe Welders are among the best in the world and stand out in their field. As an Ingalls Shipbuilding Pipe welder, you will be responsible for performing pipe welding procedures on Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel pipe using Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), also known as tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding.
Job DescriptionAn Ingalls Pipe welder is responsible for performing pipe welding procedures on various metal materials using different welding processes, including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux-Core Arc Welding (FCAW). The shipyard environment is an around the clock manufacturing setting, involving working at different heights, confined spaces, and multiple shifts.
Basic Qualifications- Minimum of 3 years of pipe welding experience.
- Must have experience in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
