Overview
The Sales Representative reports to the Sales Manager and is responsible for conducting a wide range of sales activities in support of the Sales Department and the corporate strategic plan. This role may require non‑standard hours, including weekend and night work, and involves significant job‑related stress ranging from minimal to high.

- Secure orders and renewals from existing customers via on‑site calls, telephone contacts and tailored letters.
- Secure orders from potential customers via on‑site calls, telephone contacts and letters.
- Conduct post‑sale follow‑up with customers to ensure all sales agreements have been accomplished and customers are satisfied.
- Maintain working relationships with service, installation, and IAQ Departments to ensure familiarity with services and products offered.
- Liaise with product representatives and local suppliers to stay abreast of product lines, promotions, trends and changes.
- Continuously improve sales skills and HVACR knowledge through self‑study, product seminars, corporate training, and self‑improvement courses.
- Sell service and maintenance agreements and follow‑up to ensure renewal.
- Maintain written and electronic records of sales‑related leads, contacts, referrals, suspense items, future opportunities, follow‑ups, and key names and addresses.
- Participate in dealer and corporate sales promotions.
- Respond to written and telephone inquiries that are sales‑related or could lead to a sales‑related dialogue.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner reflecting the ethical standards of the corporation.
- Perform related sales duties as directed by the Sales Manager.
- Proven record as a strong sales closer with direct sales experience.
- Experience in sales‑related marketing in the HVACR or building service fields.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to sell to residential, commercial and industrial customers.
- Physical ability to conduct sales work‑ups on actual job‑sites and under adverse weather conditions.
- Current (state) driver’s license. Must be insurable by Anderson Mechanical Inc. insurance carrier.
- Two or more years of post‑secondary education in sales, marketing, business or human sciences.
- Self‑motivated, extroverted, tactful, organized, goals‑oriented professional.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and social media platforms; ability to quickly learn new software and technology.
