Position Overview
We are looking for an Ingalls Pipefitter to work at Ingalls Shipbuilding, America's Shipyard and Mississippi’s largest private employer. As a Pipefitter, you will install and maintain pipe systems for naval vessels, working in a volatile environment with fuel, steam, ventilation, hydraulic, chemical, heating and cooling systems. You will operate at varying heights, confined spaces, and weather conditions and may work day or night shifts as required.
ResponsibilityAn Ingalls Pipefitter, also referred to as a Journeyman Pipefitter, is responsible for fitting pipe consisting of various materials such as steel, galvanized, copper, copper‑nickel and stainless, along with appropriate valves and fittings, utilizing tools and equipment in accordance with drawings, arrangements and blueprints. The job encourages working safely and meeting or exceeding industry standards.
Must Have- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have completed a craft skills training program or have previous experience
- Must be willing to work any shift
High school graduate or equivalent, Tech Master Certification.
