Responsible for maintaining the grounds, buildings, facilities, runway, taxiway and apron at the Airport in accordance with the policies and procedures of FAA and Jackson County Airport Authority.

Report all known repairs to Maintenance Manager. Assist with inspections of runway, taxiway, apron, fuel farm areas, equipment condition and ensure operational status of airfield as assigned. Assist in facility inspections and perform maintenance and repair on buildings, paint, grounds equipment, vehicles, fixtures and grass cutting equipment in accordance to safety standards. Maintain airport grounds by cutting and edging grass, perform site preparation, painting facilities and custodial services.

Performs maintenance and/or repairs in carpentry, electrical and plumbing as assigned. Operate various types of heavy equipment, power washers and various tools. Learn, participate and follow all operating procedures per FAA regulations and guidelines. Perform various tasks as assigned.

Individual must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in related field is preferred. Valid Mississippi Drivers’ License is required.
