Charter College, an established and growing career college with locations in Washington, New Mexico, Alaska, Montana and Southern California, is currently seeking talented, enthusiastic, and experienced part‑time Supervising Dentist instructors to teach in a blended course environment for our Pasco, WA campus during the day.

The Supervising Dentist assists the Program Manager and Lead Instructor in preparing Dental Assisting students with such items as radiation safety, x‑rays, and patient screening and signs off on the student’s skills. The Supervising Dentist will oversee pit & fissure and coronal polish procedures. The position typically reports to the Program Manager.

• Perform student and patient examinations as required by courses, syllabi, and lesson plans.
• Evaluate the curriculum, periodically review x‑rays, records, etc.
• Assume responsibility for and maintain quality, radiation safety, and technical aspects of all examinations and procedures.
• Provide at least two nights of work during the radiology module for patient screening and sign‑off.
• Provide non‑invasive chair‑side dental services at the college for student patients to facilitate hands‑on practice with a dentist.
• Assess current Dental Assistant course content (10 modules) for currency, depth, and breadth relative to current state standards.
• Participate in the annual Program Advisory Committee meeting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Current Dentist license required.
• Continued active license and completion of required continuing education prescribed by the licensing board during employment.
• Three years of demonstrated success in a management position.
• Knowledge of teaching methodology.
• Superior computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.

• Non‑Exempt – Hourly position.
• Very Part‑Time position – approximately 5 hours every five weeks.$50.00–$60.00 per hour, dependent on experience, knowledge, and education level.
