About the Position

We are seeking an outstanding and enthusiastic individual with a strong record of teaching three‑dimensional disciplines in ceramics, sculpture, 3D design, and/or metalworks, as well as the capability to instruct other departmental or divisional offerings such as Art Appreciation and 2D Design based on programmatic needs. Experience teaching humanities foundation courses and gallery operations is preferred. The faculty member should be flexible, hold broad interests, and demonstrate a willingness to teach in a variety of areas and modalities while employing innovative and inclusive teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging instruction in assigned courses.

• Develop and maintain course materials, including syllabi, assessments, and assignments.

• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.

• Mentor students and support their academic and professional growth.

• Engage in public exhibitions and community outreach as required.

Qualifications

• PhD or MFA in Visual Arts or equivalent professional experience.

• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarship.

• Experience with culturally responsive pedagogy and serving diverse students.

• Commitment to the college’s vision of equity and inclusion.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $80,024.00–$84,074.00 for a 176‑day contract over the Instructional Year (Fall/Winter/Spring Quarters). Additional compensation may be available for summer courses or clinics taught outside of the full‑time position.
