Assistant Professor of Communication Studies

Responsibilities- Teach applied and theoretical communication courses and other departmental/divisional offerings such as professional, health, and workplace communication based on programmatic needs.
- Use innovative and inclusive teaching strategies to reach learners with diverse backgrounds and varying skill levels.
- Contribute to the academic life of the department, college, and university through scholarly, service, and teaching activities.
- Tenure-track or permanent faculty appointment in the humanities, social sciences, or a related field with potential to develop a long-term scholarly and teaching agenda.
- Strong record of teaching applied and theoretical communication courses and the capability to teach other departmental/divisional offerings.
- Broad interests in communication studies and willingness to teach a variety of areas, modalities, and assignments.
- Commitment to employ innovative, inclusive, and culturally responsive teaching strategies.
Salary range: $80,024.00 - $84,074.00 for a 176-day contract over the Instructional Year (Fall/Winter/Spring Quarters). Additional compensation may be available for assignment of summer quarter courses or courses taught outside of the instructional year.
