About the RoleAt Lourdes Health, we are committed to empowering and supporting a diverse and determined workforce. In this role, you will support patient care in our GI Clinic by performing patient assessments, basic diagnostic procedures, specimen collection, and maintaining equipment and supplies. You will work under the supervision of a Physician or Nurse and assist with performing patient assessments and treatments.
Responsibilities- Assist with patient assessments and treatments under supervision of a Physician or Nurse
- Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection
- Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition
- Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting
- Maintain examination areas and keep patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly
- Work effectively in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
- Require critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and ability to work with minimal supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program or equivalent
- Current Washington State Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) or CMA, obtained within hire date
- Current American Heart Association BLS certificate, obtained within 30 days of hire
