Join to apply for the Multi-Unit Team Leader role at H&R Block. You’ll oversee three tax offices, providing leadership to customer‑centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business. Prior tax preparation experience is not required.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices, guiding customer-centric teams to accelerate the seasonal tax business.
- Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving all office growth objectives for three tax offices.
- Start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall and transition to full-time January–April, including evenings and weekend hours as needed; this role is in-person and not remote.
- Travel between offices as required.
- Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Partner with the District General Manager (DGM) to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
- Assist the DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and partner with the Associate Relations Center to address performance concerns.
- Build an engaging team environment across all offices by training and coaching associates and recognizing outstanding contributions.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
- Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management for associates in all offices.
- Travel between offices as required.
- Prepare tax returns as needed, after completing the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates.
- Aptitude for executing growth plans and leading toward a growth-oriented culture.
- Strong decision-making and judgment skills; able to perform in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with the equivalent combination of experience.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course.

Pay RangeThe pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location. Qualifying associates may participate in incentive plans and may receive additional earnings. Eligible associates may enroll in medical and prescription drug coverage, the Retirement Savings Plan (401(k)), and other benefits.
Pay Range
: $15.00 - $40.00/hr.
