Care Operator; Swing Shift Pasco, WA

Overview

The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture.

• Oversees the area at the end of the freezer tunnels and the final sorting of the product.
• Ensures product is being packaged into a bulk tote that meets specifications.
• Lookout for anything going on mechanical issues in the high care area equipment abnormalities
• Operates pallet jack to move silage collection to pass through area
• Observes product sorting equipment, monitors and makes small adjustments to sorters, observes to make sure it is rejecting product
• Passes samples from the high care area to the QA Sampler
• Housekeeping as necessary in the high care area
• Other duties as assigned

High School Diploma or GED

• Preferred two years plus related supervisory experience overseeing a vegetable processing line

• Must demonstrate the ability to perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, range, average, percentages, measurements).
• Must have an acceptable safety record
