Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Industrial Mechanic to work in our Pasco, WA site. The hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Industrial Mechanic will report to the O&M Plant Manager and will perform the duties described below, and will be considered a Non‑Exempt employee.

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem‑solving skills, be creative, have good communication skills, team‑oriented, customer‑service oriented, detail‑oriented, and have excellent math skills. This candidate will also have previous relevant experience working in a similar position. Waste water industry experience preferred.

• $37.00 per hour

• Three (3) or more years of relevant experience / Technical School Graduate preferred

• Repair and replacement of valves
• Carry out routine maintenance as per the equipment supplier’s schedules
• Lubrication of rotating equipment
• Pump alignment, bearing / seal replacement
• Arresting leaks
• Repair of chemical dosing pumps
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractor activities
• Overall upkeep of the facility
• Be the maintenance lead and schedule preventative maintenance
• Coordinate with subcontractors
• Prepare reports on maintenance activities
• Advise on spare parts maintenance and inventory
• Housekeeping

• Excellent skills in troubleshooting water treatment systems (pumps, motors, blower, valves & piping)
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills
• Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks or projects.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Industrial water treatment plant experience with technologies such as Pre‑treatment, De‑mineralization (DM), Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ultra‑filtration, EDI, Thermal Desalination, and Zero‑Liquid Discharge.
• Attention to detail and being a team player

Lifting/carrying/moving 50 lbs, may need to climb ladders, and cannot be afraid of heights, and will need to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on site. Involves sitting at a desk for extended periods. Needs a high degree of concentration in a busy area.
