What you’ll do:- Manage a panel of patients for a full‑spectrum primary care clinic, taking care of acute and chronic care needs.
- Be curious and keep more care in primary care; solve problems, answer questions, and spend quality time learning on behalf of your patients.
- Assist in developing a high‑functioning care team that works at the top of license and scope.
- Collaborate with Physicians, Specialists, Pharmacists, Nurses, and other health‑care professionals in person or by video.
- Provide patients and family members with counseling and education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up.
- Perform minor outpatient procedures in accordance with credentialing/privileging policy.
- Work in partnership with clinic Physicians when care is beyond your scope or license.
- Provide after‑hours care service support as part of the on‑call program.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation.
- Verify and document patient understanding of diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up recommendations.
- Currently licensed or able to be licensed in Washington state by hire date.
- Completion of a master’s level Nurse Practitioner program with national certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or American Nurses Credentialing Center.
- Unrestricted DEA, NPI, and prescriptive authority.
- Ability to be credentialed under Medicare.
- 2+ years of experience is strongly preferred.
- Special interest, experience, fellowship, or degree in primary care.
- Proficiency in EMR;
Epic experience strongly preferred. - Excellent critical thinking, flexibility, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Interest in community outreach efforts (PR, ambassador to community partners, onboarding/mentoring for new teammates). Preferred.
This position operates in a clinic environment, providing both in‑person and telehealth care. Collaboration with various health‑care providers is routine, and participation in wellness programs may also be required.
Physical RequirementsAbility to work in a clinical environment, interact with patients for prolonged periods, and perform duties requiring a high level of concentration and emotional resilience.
Vaccine RequirementKinwell requires a written attestation of religious or medical exemption for influenza, COVID‑19, and Hepatitis B vaccines. Healthcare providers may also be required to receive CDC‑recommended vaccines.
