Prepares patients for treatment, testing, and examination by a Provider; assists Registered Nurse with patient flow, connects patients with ancillary services, maintains work area and exam rooms, as well as stocks supplies.

- Preparing the day’s flow of patients, including pre-visit planning for patient needs and reviewing with provider.
- Managing patient flow during the work day, ensuring that Provider and patient needs are met.
- Handling instrumentation, supplies, ordering, and other quality assignments.
- Communicating with patients, as directed by Provider and Licensed Nurse.
- Managing provider computer desktop flow on a daily basis.
- Administers and demonstrates knowledge of medications administered up to scope of licensure under WAC , including correct dosage, route, anatomic site, expected reaction, possible adverse reactions, and appropriate interventions.
- Assisting with patient education.
- Upholding a positive work culture and clinic policies, including the WE CARE Standards of Behavior.
- Upholding confidentiality of CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information and other proprietary information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Professional and Technical Knowledge:
- Possesses a basic level of written and verbal communication skills, computer skills, and mathematical skills typically acquired through completion of a high school program.
- Familiarity with processes and operations during the work day to facilitate patient flow while accurately maintaining health information in the patient’s electronic medical record.
- Ability to demonstrate basic medical terminology/anatomy.
License and Certification:
- Ability to possess a current Medical Assistant Certified license with the State of Washington
- Ability to possess a current BLS for Healthcare Providers card.

- Ability to form, foster, and improve relationships with members of a culture different from one's own.
- Ability to present oneself professionally.
- Ability to meet with a variety of people and communicate well with professionals and patients.
- Bi-lingual in English/Spanish to include verbal and written translation according to provider direction.
