IMDEX is a global leader in mining technology, and we’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to help us design the next generation of high‑performance instruments that power smarter, safer drilling decisions worldwide.

You’ll be based in our brand‑new, purpose‑built facility, designed to foster collaboration and creativity.

• Lead mechanical design for advanced instruments combining electronics, sensors, and field‑ready durability
• Collaborate globally across Product, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to solve real‑world engineering challenges
• Drive new product development through our structured New Product Introduction (NPI) framework
• Enhance and evolve existing tools through the engineering change process
• Ensure QA/QC standards are not just met—but exceeded

• A recognized degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent industry experience in a high‑technology sector
• 10+ years of experience, with exposure in lead or principal roles favourably looked upon
• Proficiency in Solid Works 3D CAD Software, including PDM and analytical modules
• Demonstrable experience with high‑performance tools and assemblies that incorporate electronics, sensors and precision mechanisms for harsh, demanding environments
• Comfort in the utilisation of various manufacturing processes, including machining, casting, die‑casting, and injection moulding
