Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

Construction Project Engineer – Paso Robles, CA

Base salary: $75,000.00 – $ per year.

This position is hosted by Sunshine Pennington and is intended for a Permanent Project Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee a variety of construction projects from start to finish.
• Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other related documents.
• Coordinate and manage submittals and RFI processes in accordance with project requirements.
• Utilize Microsoft Project and Bluebeam for project planning, scheduling, and tracking.
• Conduct site mapping and use GPS technology for accurate project execution.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders including clients, contractors, and team members.
• Ensure all projects adhere to safety regulations and quality standards.
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on project status.
• Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Assist in the training and development of junior team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in civil construction and underground projects.
• Proven experience in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and other project management software.
• Strong knowledge of GPS technology and mapping.
• Excellent understanding of the submittals process and RFI coordination.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Exceptional problem‑solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• A valid professional engineering (PE) license is preferred.
