The Restaurant Supervisor oversees all aspects of the front of house operations of Ciao Papi and food and beverage service at the pool. The Restaurant Supervisor ensures brand standards of service, food & beverage, and guest experience are consistently met. They manage hiring and training of all FOH staff, including ongoing education, both initially and over the course of their career at River Lodge, to ensure proper development and service knowledge.

They facilitate communication and teamwork between all River Lodge departments with the end goal of improving the guest experience and long term success of the business. They work closely with the Events Manager to ensure all special events are successful and profitable. They oversee successful holidays and special services. The Restaurant Manager will work with the onsite management team as well as Nomada Hospitality to ensure company goals and standards are met.

This position reports to the General Manager, Director of F&B Operations and Nomada Hospitality Partners.

Base pay range

$25.00/hr - $26.00/hr

General Responsibilities
  • Utilize existing training manuals, checklists and other written documents for a detailed and ongoing training program with all FOH staff. This includes updating, modifying and adding to training documents where necessary.
  • Oversee all day-to-day FOH F&B operations.
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.
  • Oversee recruitment, training and scheduling of FOH employees.
  • All coaching, counseling, onboarding and offboarding of all restaurant staff in conjunction with the GM.
  • Prepare monthly Bistro P&L report in conjunction with the Chef and GM.
  • Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations.
  • Work with Events Manager to ensure successful day of execution of events.
  • Prepare for and oversee all special and holiday services in line with company expectations.
  • Oversee floor service.
  • Oversee pool service.
  • Oversee the beverage program including inventory, ordering, training and cost control.
  • Communicate issues or problems and possible solutions to Nomada Hospitality where appropriate.
Expectations
  • Oversee monthly beverage inventory.
  • Work with Accounting to resolve any accounting issues and provide information needed for monthly financials on all transactions related to F&B in conjunction with the GM.
  • Make sure tasting notes are up to date and distributed to the staff in a timely manner. Regular quizzing and follow up.
  • Regular staff training, both day‑to‑day and scheduled training.
FOH and Bar Scheduling
  • Submit relevant menu changes or collateral needs in a timely manner according to company standards.
  • Bistro ordering including restaurant supplies and office needs.
  • Prepare for and manage special services including Holidays, Restaurant Month, special events, promotions, etc.
  • Lead team communication within the F&B department, including leading a daily line‑up.
  • Staff clock‑in adjustments, tip‑outs, and payroll for the property.
  • Banking and petty cash management.
  • Credit card reconciliation in conjunction with the GM.
  • Communicate with Maintenance and GM on maintenance needs.
Qualifications
  • Must meet the age requirements to legally serve alcoholic beverages in California.
  • Must possess a valid Responsible Beverage Service certification.
  • Must possess a valid Food Handlers Card.
  • Previous applicable experience in a restaurant environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand, reach, stoop, bend, lift, and clean during various activities throughout shift.
  • As needed, must be able to lift products or supplies up to 50 lbs.
  • Upon employment, submission of satisfactory proof of your identity and legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
