Social Recreation Instructor

As a Social Recreation Instructor, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with disabilities by providing skill-building instruction and guidance both in their homes and within the community. This position focuses on helping individuals develop social, recreational, and daily living skills, making a meaningful impact in their lives.

• Encourage and instruct clients in developing self-advocacy and financial management skills.
• Support individuals in enhancing their social and community interaction abilities.
• Teach and promote appropriate leisure activities and effective use of free time.
• Provide training based on each individual's service plan to support the acquisition, retention, and improvement of adaptive skills and behaviors.
• Deliver instruction and support in clients' homes and community settings, focusing on skill development (no personal care required).

• Valid California driver's license and auto insurance (driving is required for this role).
• Ability to pass a Live Scan background check through FBI/DOJ.
• Patience, compassion, and the ability to serve as a positive role model for adults with disabilities.
• Flexibility and availability to work as scheduled.
• Basic computer and technology skills.

$23 per hour (part-time position)
