Position SummaryReporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Intensivist will be part of a dedicated on-site care team responsible for the management of critically ill patients. The physician will collaborate closely with remote Tele-ICU specialists to ensure seamless continuity of care. The role is based in New Jersey and involves daytime inpatient coverage with telehealth support during night shifts.
Schedule and Requirements- Day shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (night coverage provided by Tele-ICU team)
- Manage approximately 10–12 patients daily in a 16-bed ICU
- Minimum of 14 shifts per month
- Active New Jersey medical license and DEA certification required
- Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine (MD or DO)
- Prior experience in critical care or acute hospital medicine preferred
- Must maintain full compliance with credentialing and hospital regulatory standards
- Deliver bedside care to critically ill patients in the ICU and other acute settings
- Diagnose and manage life-threatening conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, and multi-organ dysfunction
- Perform and oversee procedures including central and arterial line placement, intubation, and chest tube insertion
- Implement and manage ventilator and hemodynamic support
