Position OverviewWe are seeking a qualified 9-1-1 EMD Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior hands-on experience working as a 9-1-1 Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD). A strong understanding of both emergency dispatch protocols and emergency medical response is required. While teaching experience is preferred, it is not required — we are willing to train the right candidate to become an instructor.
Responsibilities- Deliver engaging instruction for the 911/EMD certification course.
- Share real-world 911 dispatch and EMD experiences to prepare students for critical situations.
- Ensure course delivery aligns with NECI standards and certification requirements.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
- Maintain professionalism and support a positive learning environment.
- Prior experience as a 911 Emergency Medical Dispatcher (required).
- Strong knowledge of emergency communication procedures, call-taking, and dispatch systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Teaching or training experience (preferred but not required).
