We seek dedicated, caring, and compassionate individuals for our Residential/Outpatient Treatment Facilities and Community Programs.

CADC/LCADC Counselor

Location: Paterson & Passaic, New Jersey


Sign-on bonus of $3000 (Full Time Only, New Employees Only)

Job Summary:

The Credentialed Counselor plays an integral role in the treatment team, providing individual, group, family, and didactic sessions, along with case management services, to ensure compliance with treatment requirements of regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide counseling (individual, group, family), didactics, treatment planning, and case management as per licensing standards for a caseload of clients.
  • Develop measurable, individualized Treatment Plans and Reviews for each client.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with DMHAS and CARF guidelines and Straight & Narrow policies.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and present Treatment Plans or Reviews.
  • Attend supervision sessions with the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Refer clients to other agencies for additional care as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Submit daily documentation of client sessions to Supervisor.
  • Participate in CQI subcommittees and Grievance Committees.
  • Prepare monthly reports for overseeing agencies and referral sources.
  • Maintain certification through ongoing education.
  • Encourage participation in AA/NA/GA activities.
  • Follow all policies related to Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Qualifications:

    Must hold a BA/BS or MA/MSW with a CADC or LCADC, and have 1-3 years of experience in addictions or mental health. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills required. Familiarity with NJSAMS, ASAM, LOCI, and Drug Court Policies. Proficiency with computers. Experience in fee-for-service environments is a plus.
