Bilingual Recruitment Outreach Specialist
LOCATION: Hybrid/Irvington, NJ
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time- 37.5 hours/week
ANNUAL SALARY: $45,000 – $50,000
JOB SUMMARY:
We’re seeking a passionate and community-driven professional to lead outreach and recruitment efforts for the FELLAS program across Essex, Hudson, and Passaic Counties. In this role, you’ll be the face of the program—building meaningful relationships with local organizations, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving referrals that connect eligible fathers to life-changing resources and support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Conduct both in-person and remote outreach and marketing activities to recruit eligible fathers/clients throughout Essex, Hudson, and Passaic Counties. Outreach activities can include, but are not limited to, street canvassing, participation in health fairs, tabling, and conducting promotional presentations.
- Cultivate meaningful partnerships with local entities (including community-based organizations, clinics/hospitals, businesses, faith-based institutions, and schools) to maintain and promote a steady referral process.
- Schedule and facilitate presentations to promote the FELLAS program at local organizations and community meetings.
- May assist in the administration/collection of required forms (intakes and consents) and survey tools.
- Assist with the planning of promotional events and fatherhood bonding activities.
- Track all outreach and recruitment activities and contacts with potential clients.
- Distribute marketing materials.
- Prepare reports and documents as needed or requested.
- Maintain all tracking files confidentially in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Attend ongoing trainings as required.
- Be trained as and fill in as a Program Facilitator when needed.
- Handle other assignments as requested by supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Social Work, Community Health Education, Public Health, or related field.
- Minimum two years’ community outreach/community health experience.
- Familiarity with the geographic area and the population to be served.
- Knowledge of cultural and lifestyle diversity issues with the ability to network with a specific population.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some occasional evening and weekend hours.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Excellent engagement skills, written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy is required.
