We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong test automation experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in building and maintaining automated test frameworks for modern web applications.

This role requires a hands-on engineer who can design robust automation solutions, troubleshoot complex client-side issues, and work closely with developers, product managers, and Dev Ops teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. The candidate should also be comfortable working with SQL and Python for day-to-day validation, test data analysis, backend verification, and building utilities that support testing and release processes. Experience in trading platforms or within a financial institution is strongly preferred.

Tradeweb Technology jobs are fully remote. The Tradeweb Technology hub is in our Jersey City office which can be used for team meetings and collaboration efforts. There may be days where travel to the Jersey City office is recommended for organizational off sites.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web-based applications.
• Create and execute automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
• FIX Protocol knowledge, scripting and automation.
• Knowledge of fixed-income products like rates, credits, etc.
• Validate fixed income product calculations, risk calculation and out mathematical outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, QA, product owners, and Dev Ops teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git Lab CI or Jenkins.
• Work in Linux-based environments for test execution, troubleshooting scripting, and automation support.
• Analyze defects, isolate root causes, and provide clear documentation for issues found during testing.
• Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, GPT, or…
