Position Overview
Illuminate USA, a joint venture of two global renewable energy leaders, is building one of the largest solar panel manufacturing operations in the Western Hemisphere. Our 1.1‑million‑square‑foot factory in Pataskala, Ohio employs over 1,500 associates. We are looking for a detail‑oriented Procurement Specialist to support sourcing and purchasing operations in our Columbus‑area facility.
In this role you will ensure timely and cost‑effective procurement of materials, collaborate across departments, and contribute to process improvements in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with day‑to‑day procurement activities including issuing purchase orders and tracking delivery schedules.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, and order status.
- Coordinate RFQs and gather quotes from vendors to support purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, logistics, finance) to align material availability with production needs.
- Follow up on delayed orders and resolve delivery or quality issues with suppliers.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and assist with invoice and payment reconciliation.
- Track purchasing data and identify opportunities for cost savings or supplier consolidation.
- Support compliance with internal purchasing policies and documentation standards.
- Participate in team meetings and cross‑functional projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain support (manufacturing environment a plus).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a collaborative procurement team.
