Overview
Lead Control Systems Engineer (Cx/Startup Field Engineer) - Role located in New Albany, OH
Responsibilities- Works on control system projects; leads in hardware and software design, development, integration, testing, and installation support. Listens, takes direction, and seeks guidance from the assigned project leads, the supervisors, and company leadership.
- Technical Responsibilities: displays electrical and mechanical system troubleshooting skills; demonstrates self-sufficiency in the field; leads other project members during installation, start-up, and commissioning; leads and performs Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT); reads and interprets piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams; exhibits full understanding of HMI and PLC applications; is well versed in the company’s Quality Management System (QMS); provides review of standard documents for technical, grammatical, and aesthetic content;
demonstrates ability to perform intermediate control system design with guidance from others; provides instrumentation specifications for basic control systems; understands IT system, network infrastructure, and computer system design as it relates to control system integration. - Customer Service: communicates effectively with customers; follows customer-specific site standards and procedures; conducts business professionally; provides excellent customer care and support; is patient, attentive, and responsive to customers; follows up and honors commitments; develops understanding of customer needs and actively serves those needs; completes assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and under budget.
- Project Responsibilities: understands scope of work, identifies scope-exceeding issues and communicates them to the project lead; leads individual project tasks or small to mid-sized projects; provides accurate feedback on task status; demonstrates awareness of project contracts and specifications.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with relevant technical experience.
- Typically 2+ years total experience; proven track record of 1-3 years as Control System Engineer or equivalent.
