Citywide Security Company is a licensed and insured security guard company providing professional armed and unarmed security services for businesses, residential communities, and events. We are expanding operations across Texas and are seeking a dependable, Texas DPS licensed Qualified Manager (QM) to support our compliance and licensing requirements.
This position is ideal for a retired officer, former law enforcement or military professional, or an experienced security license holder who wants steady supplemental income with a low day‑to‑day workload.
Position Summary
As our Qualified Manager, you will serve as the official compliance lead tied to our Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) licensing requirements. This is a remote, part‑time, flexible role on a monthly retainer. Your focus is keeping the company in good standing with DPS and supporting licensing and compliance obligations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Citywide Security Company’s designated Qualified Manager with Texas DPS
- Maintain oversight of compliance with Texas Occupations Code Chapter 1702 and DPS rules
- Support required filings, renewals, updates, and compliance‑related documentation
- Be available for occasional remote check‑ins and compliance updates
- Monitor and notify leadership of relevant regulatory or licensing changes
- Respond to DPS‑related correspondence if required
- Current Texas DPS Level 3 or Level 4 license (Private Security Board)
- Meets all qualifications outlined in Texas Occupations Code Chapter 1702
- Clean legal background, in good standing with Texas DPS
- Strong communication and timely responsiveness for licensing matters
- Texas resident eligible to serve as a Qualified Manager
Preferred Background
- Retired or former law enforcement, military, or prior Qualified Manager experience
- Familiarity with private security licensing and compliance procedures
- Professional, reliable, discreet, and detail‑oriented
