Project Lead – DAS Distributed Antenna Systems – Structured Cabling – Low Voltage – Data Center

Job Summary

As the Crew Lead, you will act as the on‑site coordinator and crew supervisor for voice and data installation projects. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring job completion according to company and customer quality and safety requirements while maintaining team efficiency.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Run major project crews, provide necessary training, and ensure adherence to safety and quality guidelines with weekly safety meetings.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to maintain productivity, job completion, and budget compliance.
  • Complete all IES Communications, LLC. and project paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers).
  • Perform quality checks, coordinate moves and cut sheets for voice and data cross‑connects, and prepare red‑lined as‑built drawings.
  • Serve as the main on‑site customer contact for questions and concerns and attend facility and construction meetings when required.
  • Demonstrate detailed technical knowledge, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Salary

USD $28.00/Hr. – USD $36.00/Hr.

Qualifications

  • Self‑motivated, positive, professional, and able to implement project process improvements.
  • Promote the company culture and mission to all stakeholders.
  • Act as company liaison for customer representation.
  • Strong problem‑solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Can work at heights, off a ladder and in confined spaces; lift up to 50 lb and move up to 75 lb.
  • Regular attendance mandatory.

Tools

Tools: screwdriver (regular & Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips, pliers, hammer, cable stripper, flashlight, gloves, punch tool with 110‑block and 66‑block blade, 6/8‑position combo crimp tool, Krone/3M/BIX, butt set, volt‑ohmmeter, 4‑pair continuity tester, 5‑gang punch tool.

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Minimum 3 years in telecommunications or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 6 months supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Proficient with the listed tools and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
  • Able to terminate fiber and interpret blueprints and project documents.
  • Knowledge of universal communications color codes.
  • Meet company minimum driving standards.
