As an Occupational Therapist, you will:

• Implement treatment plans focusing on functional and measurable outcomes
• Deliver specialized individual and group therapy as outlined in students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collect data and prepare reports on student progress
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive therapy
• Assess and document each student’s progress through formal and informal evaluations
• Provide parent and caregiver support to enhance student outcomes
• Attend school meetings related to student progress and therapy needs
• Ensure a suitable learning environment by preparing necessary materials
• Supervise COTA(s) as needed
• Participate in training programs for students, staff, and families

• Valid State License
• NYSED Certification:
  Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) OR Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD)
• Willingness to work with medically fragile children for some preschool referrals
