- Must have appropriate New Jersey Elementary School Teacher certification, specialization in Language Arts K-8
- New Jersey Middle School Language Arts certification
- Knowledge of New Jersey Standards for Student Learning for Language Arts
- Knowledge of New Jersey Student Learning Standards
- Experience working with elementary and middle school students
- Excellent classroom management
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and administrators
- Bilingual preferred but not required
