Staff Needed: One (1) Part‑Time ESL/GED Tutor

• Hold a NJ Instructional and/or a second language certificate in accordance with the state requirements, preferred
• Hold a valid driver's license with no serious violations
• Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
• Have an excellent experience in teaching and working with at‑risk youth and young adults
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary
• Provide proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status by completing Federal Form I-9 in compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986
• Pass the State required Mantoux Intradermal Tuberculin Test as required by N.J.A.C. 6:3‑4A.4.
• Work one‑on‑one and in a small group setting with students to help them gain the GED skills necessary to pass the language arts, math, science, and social studies to gain their alternative high school diploma
• Work with students to gain the necessary job readiness skills to enter the world of work
• To teach and assist with workplace readiness skills, college and career development
• Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
• Pending budget availability

Salary: $22.00 per hour
