The Robinson Lloyd Resiliency Group (RLRG) provides data-informed, school-based Tier-2 and Tier-3 support to middle school students facing challenges with emotional regulation, engagement, and academic performance. Grounded in the NJDOE SEL Framework and NJ4S prevention priorities, RLRG delivers structured support through coaching sessions, classroom observations, and collaboration with parents and teachers. By focusing on strengthening protective factors and eliminating barriers to learning, RLRG helps students build resilience.
Partnering closely with schools, RLRG empowers students to develop the confidence and skills needed for long‑term success.
This is a contract-based in‑person role for a Behavioral Therapist located in Newark, Paterson, and Camden, NJ. The Behavioral Therapist will work directly with middle school students to provide Tier‑2 and Tier‑3 support, including implementing behavior intervention plans, that includes training on the Resilient Stars Program, and strategies to enhance emotional regulation and academic engagement. Responsibilities include conducting classroom observations, collaborating with teachers and parents to support student development, and maintaining detailed records of progress for data‑informed interventions.
Qualifications- Strong foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis and Behavior Analysis techniques
- Background or education in Psychology and experience working with children is essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Experience with designing and implementing behavior plans is an asset
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with school‑based support systems and the NJDOE SEL Framework is a plus
