Passaic County Community College (PCCC) is seeking an Ameri Corps Community Partnership and Engagement VISTA Fellow. PCCC operates four campus locations throughout Passaic County, with its main campus in Paterson, NJ. Paterson, known as the “Silk City,” is also home to the Great Falls/Great Falls National Historic Park, a well-known landmark. Culturally diverse, Paterson remains a destination city for newly arrived immigrants.
PCCC enrolls over 13,000 students and offers over 60 degree and career programs, as well as continuing education & community-based programs. The mission of PCCC is to offer high‑quality, flexible, educational & cultural programs that meet the needs of Passaic County residents. Impassioned by our commitment to student progress & program completion, the College strives to address a wide variety of student learning needs through excellence in teaching, innovative and effective use of technology, multiple instructional methods & developmental and ESL programs that provide access to college.

As a Leadership Development VISTA Fellow, you will help the Men of Color Success Initiative scale up leadership development efforts. Disseminating best practices in leadership development, developing and implementing a comprehensive leadership training programme for mentors and volunteers, and engaging campus partners in facilitating leadership training seminars are just some of the key activities of this position.

The Community Partnership and Engagement VISTA Fellow will strengthen PCCC's community relationships and assess their impact. This member will conduct community asset mapping, engage local partners, and analyze data on student outcomes and the impact of volunteerism. They will design outreach activities, promote volunteerism, facilitate a partner advisory council, and develop a partnership recognition program. Working with Student Affairs, the VISTA will expand capacity‑building efforts, address student inequities, and diversify community partnerships.
By maintaining data‑driven processes, they will enhance PCCC's community engagement, allowing the college to impact more students in need while fostering strong, informed partnerships.
