Food Pantry Driver/Assistant – Temporary

Location:

Paterson, NJ

Hours:

Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.

Pay: $17.00 per hour

General Summary

The individual provides client services and oversees the Food Pantry.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Register Food Pantry clients in accordance with policy and procedure.
• May be assigned to work at any of the pantry locations as needed.
• Complete weekly food donation pickups as scheduled.
• Complete daily and monthly record‑keeping requirements and submit monthly statistics reports to the Executive Director.
• Oversee the daily operation of the Food Pantry, including client shopping experience, incoming donations, and storage area management.
• Work collaboratively with all staff.
• Identify and participate in initiatives to improve pantry operations and client service delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support Catholic Charities.

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

• Organizational and computer skills.
• Strong customer‑service skills.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
