Job Description
Responsible for utilizing the Nursing Process collaboratively to plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care within their scope of practice. The RN supports the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within St. Joseph's Healthcare System and on their assigned unit.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey required.
- Successful completion of department-specific orientation and certifications including APHON (Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider), BLS, and PALS at or within 6 months of hire.
Note: Effective January 2019, certifications for BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be granted through the American Heart Association.
Reporting Relationship:
Supervisor/Manager/Director of the assigned unit.
Working Conditions
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals, radiation, blood, body fluids, extreme temperatures, noise, odors, and handling hot or toxic materials, following safety guidelines.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting objects over 100 pounds, standing for extended periods, stooping, manual dexterity, color vision, hearing, communication, pushing/pulling carts, proofreading, keyboard use, and operating a video display terminal.
