Job Description
Title: Junior Apprentice Technician
Location: Cedar Knolls, NJ (On-site)
Status: Full Time (40 hours), Non-exempt (Entry-Level)
Hourly Range: $25.65 Hourly + Overtime

Job Description Scope:The Junior Apprentice Technician is an entry-level position within the Operations Division, responsible for performing a variety of manual and unskilled duties across the Distribution, Treatment, Fleet Maintenance, and Facility Maintenance sub-divisions. The position is structured as a training role designed to develop foundational skills in the maintenance and repair of distribution systems, treatment and pumping equipment, and related facilities. The position offers successive opportunities for advancement.
The position requires the ability to perform work assignments in varying environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather and to respond to scheduled and unscheduled emergency callouts. Must be available for 24/7 standby duties with about approximate 45-minute response time, and work schedules may include non-standards hours such as nights, weekends, and holidays.
Possession of New Jersey Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B, with air brake endorsement is required, or must be obtained in accordance with the terms outlined in the position description.

Qualifications:EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- U.S accredited high school diploma or equivalent.
- NJ Basic driver’s license (required)
- NJ Commercial Driver’s License, Class B with air brake endorsement (preferred, permit required within 6-month probationary period)
- Ability to read, write and understand English so that involved and complicated instructions and technical texts can be read and understood, and legible written records can be produced and maintained.
