It’s 7:00 AM and your tablet pings with your first assignment. A multi-site retail client’s RTU isn’t cooling. You arrive, diagnose a failed control component, recommend the fix, and get them back to business. By midday, you’re on a rooftop for scheduled maintenance, checking coils, verifying refrigerant levels, and documenting your findings. Late afternoon brings a refrigeration service call—quick troubleshooting, parts replacement, and a satisfied store manager.

You wrap the day by updating service reports in your company-provided vehicle and preparing for tomorrow’s route.

What you’ll take on Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment

Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections

Install HVAC/R systems, components, and replacement equipment

Service RTUs, split systems, package units, refrigeration systems, boilers, and controls

Work on systems ranging from 1 to 50+ tons Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues

Present repair and replacement recommendations to customers

Accurately complete work orders, service reports, and required documentation

Keep your company vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean working condition

Follow company safety standards and industry best practices

Deliver professional customer service at every site Participate in an on-call rotation, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays

What you bring

At least 4 years of commercial HVAC/R service experience

Graduate of an accredited HVAC technical training program EPA Universal Certification (required)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, electrical troubleshooting, boilers, and HVAC controls

Physical demands

Lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as needed

Climb ladders and work on rooftops

Frequent bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, and standing

Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Operate safely in commercial and retail environments
