. When joining our 20‑week program you will be trained on every aspect of our company and industry from a service‑center perspective. You will work at one of our 240 nationwide Service Centers. Willingness to relocate is essential. Your training will cover front‑line supervisory duties, safety, maintenance and transportation procedures. You’ll observe supervisors during inbound, outbound, city and DC shifts, get exposure to sales by spending time with Arc Best account managers, and accompany them on client presentations to learn proactive account management.

After training you will be assigned as an Operations Supervisor at a facility across the continental United States. Those in our top management positions all progressed through similar developmental programs.

• Provide a clean, safe working environment for all personnel and visiting customers.
• Coordinate work assignments and monitor performances.
• Provide training, performance feedback, and disciplinary recommendations as needed.
• Assign job tasks to workers according to unloading and loading schedules.
• Plan, supervise, and control resources to ensure timely, damage‑free, and safe loading/unloading of freight.
• Maintain an appropriate load plan and ensure proper load balance for safe vehicle operation.

• Other duties and projects as assigned.
• Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals.
• Foster safe handling, loading, unloading, and storage of hazardous materials.
• Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.

• Additional Requirements: General knowledge of freight, imports, exports, and proper freight handling techniques preferred; willingness to relocate required.
