Patterson USD In-Person Tutor 'Referral

Job Information

Hey Tutor has partnered with a school district in Patterson and we’re hiring tutors to support elementary and middle school students after regular school hours. Tutors will work with K‑6 students and help them catch up on gaps from the past school year.

• Work with groups of students without teacher support
• Prepare the area to start tutoring sessions
• Pick up and drop off students from designated areas in the school site as needed
• Take attendance and run lessons through the Hey Tutor Dashboard (if applicable)
• Document student progress with the Hey Tutor Dashboard
• Facilitate students taking and completing baseline and summative assessments when requested by a manager
• Lead a group of students in the tutoring session using curriculum and materials provided by the program
• Create an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging that kids want to be in
• Support students in making positive behavior choices
• Engage and interact with tutoring lessons alongside the students
• Clock in and out daily of Deputy for shifts
• Perform any other duties that may be required by the Company, your manager, and/or the School Site

Monday‑Friday, 20 hours per week

10‑14 tutors needed after school

• Must have completed an AA or higher, or be currently enrolled in college or university
• Tutoring experience with children
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting
• Clear FBI‑DOJ background check (provided through us)
• COVID‑19 vaccination
• Spanish fluency required

Pay depends on a combination of education and experience and will be determined at the time of the interview.
