Coastal1 Credit Union is seeking to hire a Loan Servicing Manager! This role will be responsible for assisting the AVP/Loan Servicing in the efficient daily operations of the Loan Servicing Department.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Monitor all staff and operational processes, including the upload of commercial, mortgage, and retail loans from their respective origination systems to the Credit Union’s core platform.
- Oversee the recording and release of liens on motor vehicles, real estate, and all other collateral; insurance tracking; escrow account management; force‑placed insurance; credit insurance claims; quality control reviews; investor reporting and review; paid‑loan package processing; loan and construction disbursements; and all related account maintenance.
- Manage servicing staff to ensure consistent coverage at all times, coordinating workflow, training, and other staffing needs as required to support efficient operations.
- Ensure that data upload from each loan origination system is consistently accurate and collaborate with all applicable vendors to maintain reliable system functionality.
- Monitor all commercial, mortgage, and retail loan products to ensure they continue to function properly within the core data processing system.
- Work directly with the AVP Loan Servicing and the IT Department to ensure accurate and comprehensive testing of all applicable enhancements and system upgrades related to the loan servicing functions of commercial, mortgage, and retail loan products.
- Monitor daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to ensure the accuracy of account maintenance and overall system functionality.
- Oversee the daily and monthly reporting and remittance processes for secondary market investors to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
- Work with the AVP Loan Servicing and the Compliance Department to ensure all compliance‑related loan servicing duties are being performed in accordance with state and federal regulations, and provide staff with clear, up‑to‑date procedures to support ongoing adherence.
- Work together with internal & external members to ensure all commercial, mortgage, and retail loan accounts are properly serviced, and member requests are managed promptly, accurately, and professionally.
- Encourage on‑going staff development by coaching and motivating team members through regular monthly one‑on‑one meetings.
- Strengthen cross‑training efforts to ensure consistent coverage and maintain operational continuity during personnel shortages.
- Work with the AVP Loan Servicing to prepare and administer annual performance reviews, ensuring evaluations are thorough, consistent, and aligned with departmental goals.
- Ensure compliance with Coastal1's Bank Secrecy Act/Anti‑Money Laundering Policy (BSA) and related procedures, Member Identification Program, and Office of Foreign Assets Control screening and record keeping requirements.
- Perform other administrator duties as required.

Education And Experience Requirements- Associate’s degree required. Four‑year degree from a college or university preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a credit union/banking environment. Minimum of 2 years management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate staff and foster a team atmosphere and positive attitude within the department.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with time management/organizational/multi‑tasking skills.
- Excellent written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
- Must be able to work under pressure and have the ability to meet deadlines.
- PC Proficiency to include Microsoft Office and assorted banking software.
- Ability to maintain a positive and upbeat Credit Union image.
- Ability to handle confidential information securely.
- Ability to work collaboratively across all levels and functions of Coastal1 to coordinate solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Bi‑lingual helpful.
